At Applied Health Sciences, we take “applied” seriously—especially in our research. We aim to ensure our findings go beyond theory and create a real impact.

Research at AHS falls into four general areas:

Health and Well-being Across the Lifespan
Includes research on exercise physiology, exercise psychology, health promotion and behavioral intervention and more

Healthy Communities
Includes research on sustainability, community and organizational development, health disparity, sports management, tourism and more

Technology and Data
Includes health technology from design to implementation, applied health data analytics, communication and more

Disability and Rehabilitation
Includes rehabilitation, disability and chronic Illness, speech-language pathology, audiology, intellectual and developmental disabilities and more
