Intercollegiate Transfers

Intercollegiate Transfer (ICT) Applicants

Students who are currently enrolled at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign who transfer to a different undergraduate program on the same campus are considered intercollegiate transfers (ICT). Students who have completed one year (or one semester for transfer students) in their admitted program of study are eligible to apply to transfer to the College of Applied Health Sciences.

Details on the application and transfer process for students interested in the College of Applied Health Sciences are outlined at meetings each fall and spring semester. Students unable to attend  review our ICT presentations available as modules in the AHS ICT Canvas. ICT applicants may contact ahs-ict@illinois.edu for more information.

ICT presentations are intended for current University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign students. We are unable to accommodate family members of students at these meetings. Prospective transfer students (students who are or have attended another institution of higher education and wish to transfer to the College of Applied Health Sciences at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign) should consult our Resources for Transfer Students.

Application Process Overview

Students applying for intercollegiate transfer admission to a major in the College of Applied Health Sciences will complete an application that requires a personal statement of 500 words or less. Your personal statement should describe your interest in the major, your career goals and any experiences you’ve had that relate to the major or your career goals.

Prospective AHS ICT applicants should be aware that applying and meeting stated criteria does not guarantee transfer. Admission to AHS programs is competitive and may be limited due to enrollment maximums.

Applicants may submit one application per ICT period. If you wish to withdraw a submitted application, please contact ahs-ict@illinois.edu to make this request. You may withdraw a denied application so that you may apply for a different major in the same application period.

If you are a ROTC student, please consult with your ROTC contact prior to applying to make sure that changing your major will not cause issues with your commission date.
